How to use the Chapter Memberships Module, and What's In it

Tendenci is proud to announce that we have now made Chapter Management easier than ever! Give Chapter leaders the ability to manage members at the Chapter level to increase the user experience and lessen the workload of site-wide/national level administrators.

1. First, a site admin must build a chapter membership application form at the admin backend (if not one already):
   1. Add chapter membership types: https://yourwebsite.com/admin/chapters/chaptermembershiptype/
   2.  Add a chapter membership App https://yourwebsite.com/admin/chapters/chaptermembershipapp/
   3. Some fields can be marked as customizable to allow chapter leaders to customize. https://yourwebsite.com/admin/chapters/chaptermembershipappfield/
      
      
2. Enable chapter memberships by turning on the setting "Chapter Memberships Enabled" to "true" so that related links would show on the top menu.

3. Chapter leaders can customize certain Application Fields, based on those fields created in Step 1C. Example: https://yourwebsite.com/chapters/edit_app_fields/1/
   
   
4. Chapter leaders can now view/edit their member profiles.
   
   
5. Prospective members can join a chapter by clicking the button "Join Chapter" on the chapter details page, filling out, and submitting the form. Example: https://yourwebsite.com/chapters/houston/
   1. Chapter leaders can approve pending chapter memberships on the chapter membership details page. Example: https://yourwebsite.com/chapters/memberships/1/ 
   2. Chapter membership can be edited. Example: https://yourwebsite.com/chapters/memberships/edit/1/
   3. Each chapter can specify a Newsletter group. Example: https://yourwebsite.com/admin/chapters/chapter/1/change/
   4. Users will be added to the newsletter group on join, and to the associated Chapter Membership group upon approval. 
      
      
6. Chapter leaders can import chapter memberships into their respective chapters. Example: https://yourwebsite.com/chapters/memberships/import/1/
   1. Admin can import chapter memberships for all chapters. Example: https://yourwebsite.com/chapters/memberships/import/
      
      
7. Chapter leaders can search /filter chapter memberships (with export), and access and adjust their invoices. Example: https://yourwebiste.com/chapters/memberships/search/1/
   1. Admin can search / filter chapter memberships for all chapters (with export). Example: https://yourwebsite.com/chapters/memberships/search/
   2. Admin can also view or search a list of chapter memberships at the admin backend. Example: https://yourwebsite.com/admin/chapters/chaptermembership/
      
      
      
8. Chapter memberships notices for join, renew and renewal reminders can be set up by admin. Example: https://yourwebsite.com/admin/chapters/notice/
