The Children's Assessment Center of Houston Releases New Mobile Tendenci Website

The Children's Assessment Center of Houston launches new Website as Part of Major Expansion of Services

HOUSTON, October 5, 2016
–Tendenci (https://www.tendenci.com), the software development company spearheading the Tendenci Open Source platform, is pleased to release a newly-designed, mobile-responsive website for The Children's Assessment Center of Houston, a non-profit organization dedicated to the prevention of child sexual abuse and the healing of abuse victims. The website, https://www.cachouston.org/, provides information about the many services offered by CAC Houston, how to recognize and report child abuse, and information on ways to support their ongoing efforts to help Houston's children.

From the CAC Houston website:

The Children's Assessment Center (CAC) provides a safe haven to sexually abused children and their families - a place where they can receive the kind of care and treatment they so richly deserve.

We employ an extraordinarily effective multidisciplinary team approach in the prevention, assessment, investigation, referral for prosecution and treatment of child sexual abuse. Our goal is to promote the complete healing of child victims of sexual abuse and their families.

Tendenci Open Source was released as an open source solution to give organizations greater freedom and control over their online presence. Working directly in the browser with a user-friendly interface, the caring staff at CAC Houston can update the content, images, documents, forms and site layout as they continue to offer new services, launch expanded programs and pursue fund-raising efforts.

Mobile-responsive design was a driving factor for making changes to the layout as well as ugrading to the latest version of the Tendenci software. The Tendenci upgrade includes many new software features in addition to the stability and security of the upgraded infrastructure.

Focusing on the Capital Campaign was a central part of this project as the Children's Assessment Center works to complete a large, new facility to expand their community training programs for identification, reporting and prevention of child abuse. Reaching donors is an ongoing project for the development team as they seek to fund this campaign as well as support the wide breadth of services available to Houston-area children. The new website employs an engaging, mobile-friendly interface that explains the multitude of ways these donations make a difference, in addition to providing an immediate opportunity to donate online.

The modern responsive design combined with Tendenci's built-in SEO features boosts search engine placement, making it easier for those needing these services or wanting to support the organization to reach the CAC of Houston

Tendenci has more than 1 million users and currently powers hundreds of websites for organizations around the world, including the DePelchin's Children Center (www.depelchin.org), the Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance (www.dbsahouston.org), and Main Street Ministries (www.msministries.org).
