American Association of Singapore Launches Upgraded Mobile Tendenci Website For Their Membership

AA Singapore Enriches Experience for Americans Living Overseas with Familial Comraderie and Living in Singapore Resource Guide

HOUSTON, September 12, 2016
–Tendenci (https://www.tendenci.com), the software development company spearheading the Tendenci Open Source platform, is excited to launch an upgraded membership management website for the American Association of Singapore. The website, https://www.aasingapore.com, is an amazing resource for Americans living in Singapore. From hosting community events to supporting career development to sending monthly newsletters, AA Singapore helps Americans find a home while living in the beautiful country of Singapore.

From the AA Singapore website:

The American Association of Singapore serves as the leading non-profit organization that enhances, promotes, and celebrates American culture among expats from all countries and from the Singaporean community - through social events, charitable activities, and career support. We also help ex-pats achieve a sense of belonging and connection throughout all the stages of their lives in Singapore.

Our organization is often the first point of contact for new residents and for those visiting Singapore before accepting employment. We are open to members of all nationalities and our office staff and activities reflect this growing diversity. In fact, about 40% of AAS members are not American.

Tendenci Open Source was released as an open source solution to give organizations greater freedom and control over their online presence. AA Singapore, a long-time Tendenci user, continues to expand its online presence, enjoying the ease of site management while taking advantage of the new features offered with each new release. The flexibility of the Tendenci interface allowed AA Singapore to create a site that visually complemented their print publication without sacrificing functionality.

Of particular importance was a focus on the Living in Singapore book, a comprehensive guide to settling in and making the most of your time in Singapore. Due to the overwhelming demand for the publication, AA Singapore offers an in-depth look at the book on the new site with multiple ways to purchase the content.

Tendenci has more than 1 million users and currently powers hundreds of websites for organizations around the world, including the Society of Petroleum Engineers - Gulf Coast Section (https://www.spegcs.org), the American Citizens Abroad organization (https://www.americansabroad.org), and the Houston Technology Center (https//www.houstontech.org).
