We know you are busy and Tendenci has so many features and tools to help you make a great website - it can be a little hard to pick which to start with first!

We've put together this step-by-step list of help files, videos, and resources to help you get started and set-up your new website.  We recommend you take an hour or so each day to walk through these activities, in order, and in about a week - you'll have a great looking Tendenci website.  

Our Always Updating Training Videos

We have a YouTube Playlist that we are always adding new videos that show you how to set-up and use your Tendenci Community Website.  Subscribe to our playlist and you'll get email notifications each time we add new videos.

Step 1) Pick your Theme

Interested in one of the themes we haven't launched yet?  Contact us and let us know.  We are prioritizing which themes are designed in order of your requests.

Step 2) Add your Logo

Here's a video demonstrating how to upload your logo and a Help File with Image sizes to help you resize your images and upload them to your website.


Step 3) Update your Site and Theme settings

Learn a little more about Tendenci settings in this video, then follow along using our Global Site Settings Help File and Theme Settings Help File and you'll have these knocked out in no time! 

Step 4) Start Adding Homepage Content

Check out our video on Using Tendenci's Spaces feature to automatically add dynamic content to your homepage like Rotator banners, recent news, upcoming events, and more.

Our video on Adding Content to Your Tendenci Website will get you started adding content to your site including Pages, Articles, and News.

Our Help File on Uploading Files will show you how to upload documents, images, and other files to your website.

Step 5) Customize Your Navigation Menu

Step 6) Start Adding Events to Your Calendar

This quick video will show you how to create custom event types.

Step 7) Take a Break and Come Back Next Week for More Steps

We don't want you wearing yourself out - setting up a website can be hard work.  It is important to take a break, go do something else, and come back to your website later on.  

Keep in mind that most websites take about 6 weeks to 3 months to completely finish setting up, then require ongoing maintanence for things like content marketing, events management, and keeping up with your members and online community.
