HealthBridge Children’s Hospital Website

Website upgrade emphasizes organization’s compassionate, family-centered environment

HealthBridge.jpgHOUSTON, December 20, 2012 – Schipul - The Web Marketing Company (www.schipul.com), a leading Web marketing and software development company, today announced the launch of a new upgraded website for HealthBridge Children’s Hospital powered by Tendenci Content Management System (www.tendenci.com). The new website, www.healthbridgehouston.com, showcases how the organization’s state-of-the-art technology and highly skilled personnel combine with its culture of caring to promote healing.

HealthBridge Children’s Hospital is a Pediatric Specialty hospital in Houston that provides rehabilitative, sub-acute and post-acute specialty medical care. The hospital serves children that have been affected by serious injury, acute illness, premature birth, brain and spinal cord injury, major surgery, chronic disease or any other life-altering event. HealthBridge Children’s Hospital delivers state-of-the-art pediatric medical services in a compassionate, family-centered environment; as such, it was important that the new website reflect both the superior quality of medical care as well as the hospital’s nurturing environment.

“When families come to us, they are in crisis and it is our goal to be a beacon of hope during a very stressful time,” said Maureen Arvanetakis, vice president of sales and marketing for Nexus Health Systems, HealthBridge’s parent company. “HealthBridge serves as the transition between hospital and home, which is why it is important that our online presence reflects the loving, caring family-centered environment we provide for the children, their families, and each other.”

Tendenci CMS makes it easy for Arvanetakis and others throughout the organization to add and update content.
“We needed more control over our content,” Arvanetakis said. “Our previous system was a nightmare because it was so difficult to make changes that we usually avoided it, which made our old site static and stale. Instead of waiting two or three weeks for content to be updated, Tendenci enables us to go in and immediately make changes ourselves.”

The website was designed by Schipul – The Web Marketing Company (www.schipul.com). Its improved navigation makes it easy to quickly review HealthBridge Children’s Hospital’s broad range of inpatient, outpatient and specialty services, access online resources and stay up to date on the latest news.

Earlier this year, Tendenci CMS was released as an open source product to give organizations such as HealthBridge Children’s Hospital greater control. Tendenci CMS has more than 1 million users and currently powers hundreds of websites for nonprofit organizations and associations around the world, including Houston Technology Center (www.houstontech.org), Komen Houston (www.komen-houston.org) and Metropolitan New York Library Council (www.metro.org).
