British American Business Council Releases Upgraded Tendenci Website

BABC Houston Continues to Expand Online Presence

BABC Houston WebsiteHOUSTON, April 24, 2015 –Tendenci (www.tendenci.com) is pleased to announce the release of an upgraded and redesigned website for the British American Business Council of Houston, www.babchouston.org. BABC Houston is a long-time Tendenci client and upgraded to the open source product in order to capitalize on the latest software features, such as online community forums and extended reporting options.

Recognizing the shift in their membership needs, BABC Houston wanted a site that was mobile-responsive and reflected the group characteristics of their unique organization. The new website promotes the multiple networking and cultural events hosted by the association that bridges the gap between the countries.

BABC Houston is the Houston chapter of BABC International, an organization with over 20 chapters in large, multinational cities in North America and the United Kingdom. BABC Houston brings together businesses that are seeking to expand their reach beyond their borders and build relationships with fellow professionals.

As a business-to-business network, BABC Houston uses the Corporate Membership feature of Tendenci to manage the company members and within those, the employees that join as part of the company's annual sponsorship. BABC Houston uses the Event Manager for a wide range of networking and cultural events and the Newsletter feature to stay in front of their membership. The CMS aspects of Tendenci make it easy for administrators to quickly and easily update site content to keep the information fresh and interesting.

Tendenci has more than 1 million users and currently powers hundreds of websites for organizations around the world, including the San Francisco Bay Area Innovation Group (www.sfbig.org), the American International Club of Geneva (www.amclub.ch) and the Houston Technology Center (www.houstontech.org).
