HOUSTON, OCT. 4, 2021 -- Tendenci - The Open Source AMS (www.tendenci.com), a leading global association management software company, today announced that Nicole M. Davis has been promoted to President from her previous role as Operations Manager. Founder Ed Schipul will maintain an active role in the company, serving as Chairman of the Board in an advisory capacity.
Davis brings more than 12 years of applied academic research and business leadership experience to Tendenci, with a particular focus on data-centric business modeling and process improvement, delivering an exceptional customer experience.
“It’s about the people”, says Davis, “the core team who has carried Tendenci for several years, the developer community who helped shape Tendenci into what it is today, the people who make up the nonprofits and NGOs we serve - and whose vision we help bring to life - as well as all of the people they uplift globally.
I can think of nothing more fulfilling than investing in people, in tech, and in the future of open source software.”
After being at the helm for 24 years, Schipul is looking forward to supporting Ms. Davis in her strategic plan to advance Tendenci’s vision - to organize the world’s people. Do good.
Within the Open Source community, developers recognize Tendenci as the preferred platform for building and hosting nonprofit and association websites. Davis looks forward to continued collaboration with the community on future Tendenci features and cross-platform integrations.
Ranked as one of the top 5 AMS softwares internationally, Tendenci continues to build on the work of the Open Source community to uphold these standards, with a sustained focus on global accessibility, languages, scalability, privacy and security.
Headquartered in Houston with contributors from around the world, the Tendenci Open Source platform is tailor-made for the unique needs of cause-related organizations including associations and nonprofits.
