SQL Explorer in your Tendenci site

SQL Explorer is a built-in tool in Tendenci AMS that allows administrators to run SQL queries directly against the Tendenci database. With SQL Explorer, you can view and modify data in your Tendenci database, and generate custom reports that aren't available through the standard Tendenci reporting tools. And best of all, YOU CAN EXPORT ALL OF YOUR DATA!

Here are some of the key features of SQL Explorer in Tendenci:

  1. Query Builder: SQL Explorer provides a visual Query Builder interface that allows you to create complex SQL queries without having to write SQL code manually.

  2. Query Editor: You can also use the Query Editor to write custom SQL queries directly.

  3. Results Viewer: SQL Explorer displays the results of your query in a tabular format that can be sorted, filtered, and exported to a CSV file.

  4. SQL History: SQL Explorer keeps a history of your previous queries, making it easy to re-run or modify a query you've run before.

  5. Security: Access to SQL Explorer is limited to Tendenci site administrators, ensuring that only authorized users can access and modify the database.

  6. Data Export: Tendenci is Open Source, which means you own your data. You can easily export all of your data in JSON format or XML.

SQL Explorer can be a powerful tool for managing and analyzing data in your Tendenci AMS site, but it's important to use it with caution. Modifying data directly in the database can have unintended consequences and potentially cause data loss or corruption. It's recommended to back up your database before making any changes and to consult with a Tendenci developer or database administrator if you're unsure about using SQL Explorer.
