Hello,

I've 2 questions concerning Tendenci:

  1. When a User has "add" and "change" permissions and he belongs to a User Group, can he change articles from any user within the same User Group? Is it possible to create the concept of "add", "change" and "change own"?

  2. Is it possible to rate (1-5 starts) and review articles? I can't find such feature...

Thanks in advance!

Arjun - Django does have a built in "staff" security level although in practice in Tendenci we rarely use it. Staff can have full permissions to a module. Tendenci achieves the same results with group permissions.

If you test on the demo site at https://demo.tendenci.com/articles/article-1/ (demo resets every few hours) you can try changing permissions and creating a regular user to confirm it functions like you are asking.smile

Oh ya, question 2 "Is it possible to rate (1-5 starts) and review articles? I can't find such feature..."

We had ratings on every module but found that they quickly became spammer bait. That said, you can implement this using a third party rating or commenting system. Some examples include

They all provide javascript that can be added to your theme through the theme editor (apps menu as admin, theme editor ....)

I would just recommend considering the amount of work involved keeping up with moderation.
