Talk Description:

Putting Together Community Partnerships

Running a program for the community means getting the community involved in every step of the process.  The right mix of partners can make or break you.  In this session, Jeff Reichman will talk about qualities to look for in potential community partners, how to build a unique mix of organizations, and how partner diversity strengthens the community overall.  We'll get in-depth about the partnerships behind the Houston Hackathon and the City of Houston, current get-out-the-vote campaigns and The League of Women Voters, and several other collaborations in the Houston community.

You'll walk away from this presentation with various strategies for putting together community partnerships for their events and programs.
