Tendenci® - identity management and single sign-on software
Membership Directory Software / Online Members Directory

Your Membership Directory Software / Online Members Directory is one of the biggest benefits you have to offer your organization's members. And managing the membership directory is also one of the most complex activities for both the organization and the web site.

Membership directory organization software login with members search and detailed member directory view and export to Outlook and Act

Some of the membership directory software requirements met by a Tendenci® for Membership Management Software implementations are:

  1. Membership Directory Software is completely web based and powers your web site. Everyone benefits from Tendenci® web based member software.
  2. Single sign-on for all sections of the web site, or perhaps even several closely related sites.
  3. Member directory and individual site user records power site authentication and indicate proper security level for each user to keep data safe.User search and membership search for unique identified site visitors
  4. Remember login (remember me) feature so registered site users do not have to re-enter login information each time they access the site (recommended only when working from a trusted PC).
  5. Forgot my password feature e-mails forgotten or system generated passwords (imported records for example) to individual users, but also records an audit trail for security.
  6. Scalable. Highly scalable. The only limits are those from current high-end database vendors, which are being extended every day!
  7. Members can edit their own profile to reduce the administrative overhead for your organization. Plus people want and expect this ability from a modern organizational web site.
  8. Online application for membership (custom) integrates with member directory and site users directory as well as credit card payment.
  9. Online dues/event payment using a secure credit card gateway provide (Organizations must have existing merchant account). Complete audit trail is available for all online payment transactions.
  10. Four levels of security are provided, as well as an unlimited number of user groups (with seven levels of security within each user-group) to meet every possible membership security requirement (for example, restricting access to certain reports).Tendenci edit user profile based on three security levels, unlimited usergroups and seven security levels within usergroups
  11. Administrators can edit members profile or site users profile as well. Activate, deactivate, temporarily disable or just edit a fax number to generate a fax cover page.
  12. Import or Export large sets of membership records to save time or react quickly to a challenging situation ("We need to send a notice out to…!")
  13. FAST membership directory search handles tens of thousands of user records in a matter of seconds. Pages are designed to be lightweight for fast loading when your members are traveling to the remote corners of the earth.
  14. Advanced search options so everyone can quickly access the resource they are looking for. Search by all of the logical commonly used fields.
  15. Icons indicate to the administrator active accounts versus accounts that have no recent activity.
  16. Site administrators can disable site users in real-time. While this need does not happen that often, there are times when you need to disable an account immediately, even if a user is currently logged on (they are politely logged off).
  17. Site administrators can block the member directory system from sending e-mail to a specific e-mail address if a conflict of interest exists.
  18. Graphics are limited for faster access. The graphics that are used are small and designed to be cached for speed.
  19. Member number or Membership ID can remain confidential or visible depending on your organization's policies (very flexible).
  20. Membership Directory search by default ONLY shows members as most organizations view the member directory as a benefit, but this is also configurable based on your organization's policies.
  21. Membership Directory and Users profile are integrated with event planning and calendar registration software for online event registration cancellation requests.electronic newsletters integrated with online membership database
  22. Electronic newsletter software integration with an existing membership directory allows members and site users to specify "user groups" of which they wish to be a member. Electronic newsletters are then sent to the committee, study group or technical Interest group associated with that "user group."
  23. Understanding actual site use by individual helps the board of directors, leadership committee, or elders better serve the organization.
  24. Improve service to the organization through Business Critical Metric Reporting that measure actual use and most active services. Organizations leadership can improve services for the members as well as site users (who will of course hopefully JOIN the organization).
  25. Membership Directory is more privacy focused than competing technology (ADSI/LDAP, Passport®, Netegrity Site Minder®)
  26. Does *not* store encrypted username and/or password in cookies for greater security than competing products.
  27. System can notify membership committee members when new users register with your organization's web site so the membership committee can discuss membership benefits (recruiting)
  28. Bulk add or remove of members from user groups by e-mail address only. And the Tendenci® organizational software is smart enough to create a new account if it doesn't exist, modify membership for users who do exist, or create a new membership record with a generated password and add them to the appropriate group. (wow!)
  29. Complete user / membership export for administrators. Excel, CSV or XML format. Requires administrative rights, site authentication and one additional security level for added security for your member list.
  30. Members can add each other to their locally installed contact management system (Outlook, Act, Groupwise) with the web based vCard export feature. Less typing for everyone. Directory integration.Site reporting options on users and membership database
  31. Advanced membership directory features with site authentication power event planning for clubs and associations to reduce work for your volunteers.
  32. Import individual records in CSV, VCF or XML format for users logged in to your site. Administrators can do bulk imports, partial or complete.
  33. Fax cover page generator that quickly generates a fax cover page for a specific user (As long as an administrator is logged in, he or she can quickly generate fax cover pages for event registration, for example).
  34. Members' directory organization software functions as an integrated online event registration and membership association management system.
  35. Microsoft Word® templates for "Hello my name is" name tags as well as standard Avery Label types with Excel file exports.
  36. All software modules integrate with members' directory software for advanced security features. While anyone can post an event, it must be approved by a site administrator to be visible to others. The person who submitted the event remains the event owner so he or she can manage the event from start to finish, including accessing event management reports, event roster reports, generating name tags, etc.
  37. Tendenci® membership directory software is aware of "usertypes" so different users can login to different "user home pages" for their specific preferred links.
