This video shows you how to add your Membership Application to your site navigation. This is the fourth video of 9 in the Tendenci Memberships Module Training series to teach Tendenci site admins how to use the memberships module features.

How to Add Your Membership Application to Your Website

In the last video in our Membership Module Training Series I showed you how to create the membership application to become a member. In this video I'm going to show you how you can link your application to your site's navigation.

The first step you'll want to do from the membership application administration in the back end, is come to where it says application form link. There will be a link here and in this case it's "become-member."

Your applications will all have different names and different links to them and each application if we have multiples will be listed down here. Click on the link to the application that you want to view and add to your navigation. And you will come to the application page to see what it will look like to visitors on your site.

You can review the information on it, make sure that the fields are correct, that you want to collect the information. As you can see here each of these is a field that your members and your member applicants can fill out.

Double check the pricing and the payment methods are corrent and then to add it to your navigation come up to the URL and you'll want to copy everything after your website name and then come to your navigation and edit it and decide where you would like to put it.

You can add a custom navigation item, if you want it to be a new item. In this case I'm just going to go ahead and add it here to the members tab. I'm going to paste it and you can see underneath here even though it's longer, this is what is being pasted.

And you want to make sure that it begins with the forward slash. It doesn't need your site URL because it will use your website URL automatically. And then I'm going to change this to memberships and hit save.

So now you've saved it and you can see that our navigation has been updated, instead of saying "Members," it says "Memberships" and if we click on it, it will take us to our membership application.

So that's how you add your membership applications to your navigation.
