Site reflex for tying a directory listing to the membership application

*** Only Administrators can tie the directory listing to membership addition. ***

This will allow all members that are signing up for a membership online to fill in the extra directory listing fields and thus have a directory listing already in place.

You can, of course add the price of a directory listing into the price of the membership if you would like. Do be aware that there is only one membership application so if you tie directory listings into memberships it will be for all memberships.

First you will need to include all of the necessary fields in the custom membership application.

From there you will want to edit the site reflex for Directories Edit in Membership:

Go to the Tendenci console.
From here go to Manage Users in the Admin only section.
Select M) Site Variables - 1. View Site Application Variables.
*This may take a while to load since it is retrieving the coding that runs your site.*
Since this is a very long list you will want to search through the data for keywords - The item you are going to edit is the Directories Edit in Memberships.
Then you will select the pencil icon or beneath this item.
On the next page you will need to change the value so that it is "True."

Once you have done this a member will go to sign up for a membership - they will see all of those directory listing fields that you have added to the custom membership application ex.

Once they have paid for their membership they can see their directory listing live on the site:

Note the directory listing pulled in the title of the company even though it was not in the Directory listing section of the Application.
